VOICE BUDDY
The aim of the project was to design a timekeeper that tells you what time it is at the touch of a button. For many people, the topic of “time” means stress and pressure.
This design avoids the looming visual burden of a traditional wall clock, yet still fulfills the function of telling time. The moment in which you place yourself in a temporal context is thus changed.

As the protagonist in this situation, an object was to be designed to which an emotional connection could be established, a helping sparring partner, so to speak, who gives the time and does not dictate it.
Various parameters such as shape and color, voice pitch and volume, but also materiality and haptics had an influence on the design process for the resulting prototype of the “Voicebuddy”.
