Why do we collect things? What do we collect? How do seemingly insignificant objects acquire emotional value? And why is it so difficult for us to part with our collections? We asked ourselves these questions last semester. We then asked people around us and documented their collections. This resulted in a collection of collections. We wrote and designed the book to form a bridge to a piece of furniture. The project only works in combination with both components: the book, which represents the people, and the furniture, which represents the collection.
